Cloves, or nutmeg, come from the dried buds of the clove tree. It thrives in the Philippines, Madagascar, the West Indies and the Antilles.
Its main characteristic is its intense, pungent taste and aroma. We use it for flavouring meat, in confectionery, baking and in the beverage industry, especially for flavouring liqueurs.
