Comvita® UMF® 15+ Manuka Honey is an old favourite of ours that has exceptional benefits inside and out. We stock a UMF 15 which is an excellent honey for preventing infections and maintaining health. It is the highest UMF rating that we stock at Organico.
New Zealand Manuka has long been valued for its health-maintaining effects and Manuka Honey is gaining worldwide recognition for its unique properties. Only some Manuka Honey has the special UMF® activity. UMF® stands for 'Unique Manuka Factor', a measure of the unique type of antibacterial activity which is naturally present at varying levels in honey made form the nectar of the Manuka bush (Leptospermum scoparium), native to New Zealand.
The mark UMF® is followed by a number that indicates the strength of the UMF® activity in a batch of UMF® Manuka Honey. The higher the UMF® rating, the more potent the product.
Use as a delicious spread. Alternatively, take 1-2 teaspoonfuls (10g) three times a day half an hour before food. For preferred honey consistency, warm to soften or refrigerate to firm.
